Important Information
Registration: Registrations should be made via The School of Dentistry online enrolment system (www.dentistry.uq.edu.au/cpdenrol). All registrations must be accompanied by full payment. Payment can be made by credit card, cheque, money order or cash. Registrations must be received at least 3 working days prior to the course. Early registration is strongly recommended for all courses. Waiting lists are available for most courses - please check the website or phone The CPD Office to determine availability. Fees include registration, enrolment costs, use of equipment and materials as required, and all meals and refreshments during the course.
Cancellations and refunds: If you need to cancel your registration, please inform The CPD Office immediately so that your place can be offered to another applicant. UQ School of Dentistry CPD takes no responsibility for changes to delegate work commitments or personal circumstances. Cancellations must be received in writing by mail, fax or email. If you are able to nominate a colleague to take your place please notify The CPD Office as soon as possible so that enrolment details can be changed. The following terms and conditions apply to refunds following cancellation:
- A 20% handling fee will be charged for cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date.
- Cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to the course will be offered a 50% refund.
- No refunds will be given for non-attendance on the day without notice.
- Alternatively, course fees or part thereof can be transferred to another event within one year from the date that cancellation occurs.
Catering: Prior notice must be given for special dietary requirements. While we try to accommodate dietary needs it cannot be guaranteed that the request can be met.
Parking: No parking is permitted within UQ School of Dentistry from 7.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Parking is only permitted for delegates at courses held after 5.30pm and on weekends. Information regarding parking at external venues will be provided with confirmation of enrolment.
CPD hours: All registered participants will receive a Statement of Attendance from UQ School of Dentistry indicating the number of CPD hours for the course. Please retain this for your records. The Dental Board of Australia Continuing Professional Development registration standard states that practitioners must:
a) Complete a minimum of 60 hours of CPD activities over three years
- 80% of the minimum 60 CPD hours must be clinically or scientifically based
b) Make a declaration of their compliance with CPD requirements at the time of annual renewal
c) Maintain their own records detailing their CPD activities for audit purposes
d) Produce evidence of their CPD activities when requested to do so by the Board. (Evidence will take the form of an electronic or paper-based logbook with details of the activities and the number of hours spent. The Board may ask for additional supporting information, such as certificates of attendance).

CPD course cancellation/rescheduling: UQ School of Dentistry CPD endeavours to produce high quality courses that fulfil expectations. However, The School reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, postpone or relocate any course due to circumstances beyond The School’s reasonable control. The School will notify delegates as early as possible in an effort to minimise inconvenience. If a course is cancelled, any course fees paid will be refunded in full. Alternatively, the delegate may choose to transfer this course fee to another course scheduled to be held within one year from the date that cancellation occurs. In this instance these terms and conditions apply.UQ School of Dentistry CPD is not responsible for any associated expense such as accommodation or travel incurred by the delegate, or for any loss or damage if a course is cancelled, rescheduled, postponed or relocated.

Advertising in this brochure: All bookings and enquiries concerning advertising should be directed to the CPD Office. Advertisements are accepted subject to the approval of the Director of CPD. Acceptance of any advertisement for publication does not indicate endorsement or approval by UQ School of Dentistry. UQ School of Dentistry may require substantiation of any claims made in the advertisement.
