About our clinics

UQ Oral Health Centre, Herston
The University of Queensland School of Dentistry is a major oral health care facility in Queensland. The Oral Health Centre is located on the corner of Bramston Terrace and Herston Road at Herston.

Who will treat you?

Our students are some of the best in the state, requiring excellent scores to enter our courses. Our undergraduate students study and train for five years to become a dentist. Postgraduate students are qualified dentists studying to become dental specialists. Before they treat in clinic, our training dentists perform up to 700 hours of simulation practice. This is followed by over 2600 hours clinical work, ensuring they become highly competent practitioners. All treatment is supervised by registered dentists and specialists.

Private Dental Practice

We regret to advise that the School has had to close its Private Dental Practice Unit for treatment from the 30th November 2013. We anticipate that the School will open a new Private Practice facility at the UQ Oral Health Centre sometime in 2014 although as yet it is not possible to confirm when.
